The past month has been a big one behind the scenes for Wanderlust. At the beginning of September I did four huge vintage clothing buys and now have an extensive back stock of 1940’s-60’s dresses. We also celebrated our one year anniversary, which also marked our most successful weekend up at our Alberta location. And finally, we’re saying goodbye to 21st and Alberta, closing up shop for October and re-opening sometime in November in an as-yet-to-be-found new location.
We have really enjoyed making the transition from a mobile ‘pop-up’ business to being open regular hours at the same spot. We have some terrific regulars up on Alberta, we learned a ton and now we have a lot of improvements we want to make to our shop before we re-open. We also want to find the perfect location for Wanderlust and that's taking some time. We don’t want to rush into something just so we can be open, we’re committed to finding a location and neighborhood that will be a good fit for us.
In the meantime, we hope you’ll keep tabs on us. We will announce our new location as soon as we have one. We’re also finally ready to take the plunge and will be opening an online shop with select items. I’ll be sure to announce all the details on that when that time is right.
Thank you so much for supporting our business, whether you live across the country and just follow us on Twitter or if you come into our shop every weekend looking for something special to take home. It means a lot to us and we’re so excited to open back up, better than ever.
We will be open for the final time on 21st and NE Alberta this Thursday September 29th from noon-9pm. Please stop by, I’ve been putting out lots of wool skirts, cardigans and other goodies that will make the perfect addition to your Fall wardrobe.
