It's so exciting getting ready for our first holiday season in the new shop! I love the holidays and picking out vintage cocktail dresses and adorable handmade gifts to carry has been such a treat. After talking to some other businesses on Southeast 28th, I decided to participate in the second year of Little Boxes. It's an event to encourage Portlanders to shop locally on Thanksgiving weekend.
Who wants to give another ugly tie from Target? Come by the shop and I'll show you the coolest hand painted 1950's skinny tie. And if you come by this Friday or Saturday from 10-7, it will be 10% off and you can enter a raffle for an ipad, shopping spree and other awesome gifts! All you have to do is show up to enter the raffle and there are 170 local shops participating (and about 20 in our neighborhood!) so if you get around enough, you have a pretty good chance of winning.
I'm encouraging people to hit up lower Burnside, Southeast 28th and Belmont. It's all walkable and you can stop at Heart for coffee, eat lunch at Canteen and cross a bunch of people off your holiday gift list (or just pick up that cocktail dress for yourself). PLUS we'll have champagne and snacks at the shop if you need further encouragement.
