Vintage Inspiration: Charade

I'm on a classic movie kick lately. Netflix has a ton of them and this week I've rewatched Funny Face and Charade (so maybe I'm on a Audrey Hepburn kick?). Anyway, if you haven't seen either of these films, you need to! Charade is great because you're never quite sure what's happening. It's a thriller made in 1963 starring Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn. Of course Audrey has some classic styles in it so I thought it was perfect to share here.

In my opinion, it's really her coats and early 60's hats that steal the show. We have a few coats in the shop right now from this same time period. They never go out of style!

I'm always changing my mind about my favorite mid-century decade. Lately I've been enamored with the early 60's. Watching the last few seasons of Mad Men probably encouraged that, but this time period also perfectly combines my love of classic 50's silhouettes with bolder colors, neat details and thick black eyeliner.
